From Shared Passions to CM AthleticDigital

Some companies are born out of an idea. Ours was born out of a friendship and a shared belief that athletes deserve branding as powerful as their performance.

We first connected over a simple but rare bond: we had both gone to boarding school. Anyone who’s been there knows it teaches discipline, resilience, and how to thrive in a high-performance environment. From there, our shared passion for sports and our dedication to personal growth became the foundation of a friendship that would eventually turn into a business partnership.

Marlene’s Journey

I grew up in a very athletic family where sports were always a priority. I held my first tennis racket at two and explored nearly every sport during my years at boarding school. Over time, I developed a deep passion for watching and engaging with sports like football and Formula 1, captivated by their history, emotion, and heritage. Both creativity and sports have fueled my ambition, productivity, and personal growth — ultimately shaping my educational path. Years of working in marketing gave me the tools to unite my creative vision with strategic expertise. I believe sports hold endless opportunities for powerful branding, and the athletes who make these moments possible deserve marketing that matches their impact.”

The idea of starting an agency dedicated to athlete branding came naturally: “When I was thinking of building this company, I immediately thought of Catherine and no one else, knowing that she would fully be on board with the idea. I pitched and we literally got straight to work.”

Catherine’s Journey

“I grew up on the tennis court, competing internationally and learning lessons that reached far beyond the sport itself. Tennis gave me lifelong friendships, discipline, and a sense of purpose. Like me, every athlete carries a unique story shaped by their own journey. I began my career in finance, where I built a strong foundation in relationship building and strategic communication. In time, I knew I wanted to bring those skills back to the community that helped shape and inspire me. After earning my MBA with a focus on Digital Marketing, I chose to stand at the intersection of sport and storytelling — helping athletes share their voice and grow their brand.”

This perspective, shaped by years of competing and higher education in digital marketing, aligned perfectly with our vision. Together, we saw and leveraged the potential for an agency that would merge creativity, strategy, and sports insight into something truly unique.

Our journeys and complementary skill sets became the blueprint for CM AthleticDigital. We share the same values: discipline, creativity, growth, and the belief that sport is more than a game: it’s a story worth telling.

From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to help professional and emerging athletes establish themselves online through strong, authentic branding strategies. Every project we take on is personal, because we know firsthand the passion, effort, and dedication that go into building a career in sports.
